Say it GMail, Orkut, YouTube or LinkedIn. Generally, I do not register with these kind of websites quickly. I wait for couple of months before joining these websites. One of reason being, I do not want to distribute my email id to an untrusted website.

GMail, I was pretty late to create an account with this website. I kept hearing about this website everywhere, but for some reason I was not impressed in the beginning. Finally, when I started using this service, I really enjoy it. It is pretty cool.

As per Orkut is concerned, I keep receiving invitations. However I was not impressed. Suddenly, when I hear everyone around me talk about this website, I felt guilty and wanted to see what it is upto. Oh God, it's one of the best social website to kill the time. That is the first impression. Anyway, I am able to get hold of so many school friends whom I lost contact for few years.

LinkedIn is yet another cool professional networking site. It is one of best place to get reference/recommendations from your peers or managers about your work style. Unfortunately, it took me so many years to understand how it all works.

Oh YouTube, I never have an account with YouTube. In other words, I never uploaded a video to this website yet. But, I almost use this website everyday.

Finally, I'm thinking if it is worth to give these kind of websites a try, when they are very new.

Till couple of months back, my home page was the first link when i search my name in yahoo & google. But, now things are changed. Not sure about the reason, though i guess, it is due to presence of google adsense in my page.
